Cruise Phase Day 53

Day 53 of the Cruise Phase stats:

  • Weight Today 102.7 kgs
  • Weight Lost 0.0 kgs
  • Total Weight Lost 6.9 kgs

What I ate yesterday:

  • Breakfast – Dukan Galette
  • Snack – 2 sugar free sweets
  • Lunch – Savoury Pancakes with 0% fat cheese spread
  • Snack – none
  • Dinner – Dukan style Moussaka, 0% yoghurt
  • Drinks – 1 large glass of water, 3 cups of tea, 1 cup of coffee
  • Exercise – chasing Fudge around again!

Today is my 60th day on the Dukan Diet – 7 days of Attack and 53 days of Cruise.  I will be glad when this “Holiday Season” is over and all the yummy food is gone from the house!  Temptation is a terrible thing – although my willpower is surprisingly good considering……

Overall I have lost 20 kilos since 4th July when I started trying to lose weight.  I am confident I will get to my target before the summer 2011 and am looking forward to it immensely!

Cruise Phase Day 29

Day 29 of the Cruise Phase stats:

  • Weight Today 103.3 kgs
  • Weight Lost 0.7 kgs
  • Total Weight Lost 6.3 kgs

What I ate yesterday:

  • Breakfast – Dukan Galette
  • Snack – 2 sugar free sweets
  • Lunch – A Skinny Latte in Starbucks, Malaga Airport!
  • Snack – 2 slices cooked ham
  • Dinner – Roast Chicken, carrots, cauliflour, 0% fat yoghurt
  • Drinks – 1ltr water, 2 cups of tea, 1 cup of coffee and that Skinny Latte
  • Exercise – Malaga Airport is so much bigger now – I must have walked for miles!

Well, my family finally made it after a day and a half of travelling, they are all wrecked!!  It´s great to see the grandkids again – the baby is 3 months now and gave me a lovely big smile.

I had a great surprise when they gave me an iPad for my birthday!!!!  I have wanted one since they first came out – I´m just waiting for iTunes to update so I can start playing with it.

Another great weight loss today – that´s 6.3 kilos down in 5 weeks (almost a stone).  My goal is getting closer all the time and I am loving this diet.  I had two big temptations yesterday – Starbucks and the dessert menu in Grumbles where we had dinner – I still can´t believe I didn´t have the Apple and Rhubarb Crumble……..but I was strong and resisted!  I am so proud of myself.

Cruise Phase Day 13

Day 13 of the Cruise Phase stats:

  • Weight Today 105.1 kgs
  • Weight Lost 0.0 kgs
  • Total Weight Lost 4.5 kgs

What I ate yesterday:

  • Breakfast – Dukan Galette
  • Snack – Half a Grapefruit (not Dukan Friendly but I grew it myself!)
  • Lunch – 4 Crab Sticks, Cooked Turkey Slices
  • Snack – 0% fat Yoghurt
  • Dinner – Tandoori Chicken, Coffee Creme & Meringue
  • Drinks – 2 ltrs water, 2 coups of tea, 1 cup of coffee
  • Exercise – No proper exercise but went shopping.

Well I stayed the same as yesterday so I am quite happy with that – but as you can see from my menu I didn´t have any veggies.  I just didn´t feel like having any so today is going to be my PV Day.  That´s what I like about the Dukan Diet, in one way you have to stick to the rules in order to lose weight, but those rules can be bent a little bit if necessary – as long as you don´t go totally off diet you will lose weight.

No exercise again!  I will have to make more of an effort next week.  I will be facing temptation today as my Sister arrives today for a weeks holiday and we will be meeting up later for coffee – will have to stock up on willpower before hitting La Cañada shopping center.  Although it´s much easier to diet here in Spain as there isn´t much choice in chocolate and the cakes look delicious but taste horrible!  This time of the year is worse as the shops stock up on chocolate and sweets for Christmas – the Spanish traditionally have Turron at Christmas and Suchard do a huge bar of Chocolate Turron with Rice Crispies in which I am madly trying to not see in the supermarket!

Cruise Phase Day 8

Day 8 of the Cruise Phase stats:

  • Weight Today 106.1 kgs
  • Weight Gain 0.1 kgs
  • Total Weight Lost 3.5 kgs

What I ate yesterday:

  • Breakfast – Oat Bran Porridge, 2 slices cooked Turkey
  • Snack – none
  • Lunch – 1 Chicken Drumstick
  • Snack – none
  • Dinner – Kebabs made with beef mince, SF Jelly
  • Drinks – 1 ltr water, 3 cups of tea, 1 cup of coffee
  • Exercise – None

Grrrrr…..went up 100grams even though I didn´t eat much this weekend, but that seem to be what the problem is.  I have been reading round some forums and have found that the people who are eating more are losing more weight – amazing but true!  So from today I will be eating a full breakfast instead of just having the porridge.  Also I didn´t have any yoghurt over the weekend and didn´t drink as much water as I usually do.

On the plus side, we had friends drop by yesterday and I made a non-Dukan friendly desert for them – and I didn´t touch any of it!  I am amazed by my willpower these days.

But my overall loss for the week was 600 grams so I can´t complain as the scales are going in the right direction.  Today is a PV day as I haven´t had any veggies since Wednesday, apart from the cherry tomatoes on Saturday.

So I´m going to re-read my book, look for some recipes and do more exercise this week.

Cruise Phase Day 7

Day 7 of the Cruise Phase stats:

What I ate yesterday:

  • Breakfast – Oat Bran Porridge, 2 scrambled Eggs
  • Snack – none
  • Lunch – 6 cherry tomatoes picked straight from the plant!
  • Snack – none
  • Dinner – Roast Chicken, Sugar Free Jelly
  • Drinks – 1.5 ltrs water, 2 cups of tea, 1 Diet Coke, 1 glass Cava
  • Exercise – Walking around Fuengirola

We had a nice day out yesterday catching up with friends.  I was Very Good and resisted all temptations except for the glass of Cava (it was only a small one….).  Mark has tomato plants growing on his terrace so I helped myself to 6 deliciously sweet cherry tomatoes.  I didn´t have any avocado (from Vanna´s trees), fresh bread, Ann´s Corn Fritters or Potato Wedges……how good was I???

Very happy to see the weight loss this morning!  I have a great excuse for being on this diet and everyone understands why I have to lose weight – I really don´t want to have another spinal fusion – so they don´t even try to persuade me to break it, just admire my willpower.
