Cruise Phase Day 43

Damn you Christmas!!

I ate far too much yesterday and felt sick as a dog last night……and still feel a but queasy today. I put on 600 grams so that bit wasn’t too bad, but I went a bit mad on the food!

I had 3 servings (big ones) of Tiramisu, 6 chocolates, roast potatoes, half a bottle of Cava and nearly a full bottle of white wine. That was the bad stuff – I also has Turkey and veggies but I stayed away from the Pork Crackling.

We had a lovely day though and it’s nice to catch up with friends who we don’t see enough of.

So now I just have to get back on the wagon and try to stay on it!!

Cruise Phase Day 42

Oh No! There’s food everywhere!

We are having some friends over today for a Pre-Christmas Lunch and there is a Turkey and Roast Pork cooking in the oven. These will be served with spuds and veggies. I have already decided to have today off the diet and will just enjoy the good food and good company.

Cruise Phase Day 41

My weight this morning was 102.4 kgs which is 200 grams up on yesterday. I am posting this from my new iPad (a birthday and Christmas gift from my kids!) so I can’t include the usual chart of what I ate, but it is usually the same stuff. Although I did have pancakes yesterday made with eggs, skimmed milk powder, sweetener and cocoa powder. Very good when you have cravings.

Tomorrow will be my Christmas Dinner so I will be having a few naughties, and enjoying them without feeling guilty! Then it will be back to the diet again. I will also be getting my new puppy during the week so that will mean more exercise.

Cruise Phase Day 39

I am the same weight today – 102.2 – and ate much the same food as I have been eating so nothing exciting to report.  Although there is very little Christmas atmosphere here, we are having a Pre-Christmas Lunch on Sunday and that will be my Christmas Day off the diet.  I won´t be having Chocolate or other goodies, but I will be having Tiramisu for dessert!

Cruise Phase Day 37

Day 37 of the Cruise Phase stats:

  • Weight Today 102.2 kgs
  • Weight Lost 0.0 kgs
  • Total Weight Lost 7.4 kgs

What I ate yesterday:

  • Breakfast – Dukan Galette
  • Snack – 2 sugar free sweets
  • Lunch – Cooked Turkey slices, tomato and 0% fat cheese. Dukan Custard
  • Snack – none
  • Dinner – Jerk Turkey, 1 sugar free sweet
  • Drinks – 1.5 ltrs water, 2 cups of tea, 1 cup of coffee
  • Exercise – Housework

I just realised that I have now lost 18 kgs in total since I started dieting in July!  I started the Dukan Diet on 1st November and the weight loss has been steady since then.  I am now looking forward to being able to shop for ordinary size clothes and am thinking ahead to the summer when I will be able to wear shorts!!

What I ate yesterday:

  • Breakfast – Dukan Galette
  • Snack – 2 sugar free sweets
  • Lunch – Grilled Dorada (fish), 0% fat yoghurt
  • Snack – none
  • Dinner – Scrambled Egg, 0% fat yoghurt
  • Drinks – 1 ltr water, 2 cups of tea, 1 cup of coffee
  • Exercise – None….

Another 1.1 kilo weight loss this week!  I am a happy bunny……..only 27 more to go till I hit my target of 75 kilos.  It is great motivation to see this amount of weight loss every week.  That´s why this is such a great diet……and I am living proof that you won´t die if you don´t have chocolate!!

Cruise Phase Day 35

Day 35 of the Cruise Phase stats:

  • Weight Today 102.8 kgs
  • Weight Lost 0.5 kgs
  • Total Weight Lost 6.8 kgs

What I ate yesterday:

  • Breakfast – Starbucks Skinny Latte at the Airport
  • Snack – none
  • Lunch – Ginger Buiscuits
  • Snack – 2 sugar free sweets
  • Dinner – Chicken Wings
  • Drinks – Not enough Water, 2 cups of tea, 1 cup of coffee
  • Exercise – Walking miles in the Airport again

It´s been a hectic week with my family visiting from Ireland but it was very enjoyable and I managed to stay on track with my diet.  Only Christmas to get over now and it sould be plain sailing to my target sometime in May or June……..I hope!

The only problem now is that my back is very sore after all the driving and I really don´t feel like doing any exercise.  I need a weeks holiday myself……lol.

What I ate yesterday:

  • Breakfast – Dukan Galette
  • Snack – 2 sugar free sweets
  • Lunch – Scrambled egg and Smoked Trout, 0% fat yoghurt
  • Snack – Cooked Turkey Slices
  • Dinner – Turkey & Chicken Burger, 0% fat yoghurt
  • Drinks – 1 ltr water, 2 cups of tea, 1 cup of coffee
  • Exercise – none

I felt like I had eaten loads yesterday and thought I would have put a bit of weight on today – but no, the scales say 103.3 so I am delighted with that.

Here are my weekly loss numbers so far:

Week 1- 2.9 kilos
Week 2 – 0.6
Week 3 – 0.5
Week 4 – 1.2
Week 5 – 1.1

It´s great to see the numbers going down on the scales – that is a real motivator!

  • Weight Lost 0.7 kgs
  • Total Weight Lost 6.3 kgs

What I ate yesterday:

  • Breakfast – Dukan Galette
  • Snack – 2 sugar free sweets
  • Lunch – A Skinny Latte in Starbucks, Malaga Airport!
  • Snack – 2 slices cooked ham
  • Dinner – Roast Chicken, carrots, cauliflour, 0% fat yoghurt
  • Drinks – 1ltr water, 2 cups of tea, 1 cup of coffee and that Skinny Latte
  • Exercise – Malaga Airport is so much bigger now – I must have walked for miles!

Well, my family finally made it after a day and a half of travelling, they are all wrecked!!  It´s great to see the grandkids again – the baby is 3 months now and gave me a lovely big smile.

I had a great surprise when they gave me an iPad for my birthday!!!!  I have wanted one since they first came out – I´m just waiting for iTunes to update so I can start playing with it.

Another great weight loss today – that´s 6.3 kilos down in 5 weeks (almost a stone).  My goal is getting closer all the time and I am loving this diet.  I had two big temptations yesterday – Starbucks and the dessert menu in Grumbles where we had dinner – I still can´t believe I didn´t have the Apple and Rhubarb Crumble……..but I was strong and resisted!  I am so proud of myself.

What I ate yesterday:

  • Breakfast – Dukan Galette
  • Snack – 2 sugar free sweets
  • Lunch – Pork Loin, 0% fat yoghurt
  • Snack – none
  • Dinner – Scrambled Egg with Smoked Salmon, 0% fat yoghurt
  • Drinks – 1 ltr water, 3 cups of tea, 2 cups of coffee
  • Exercise – Was out again so no proper exercise

I´ve had a very busy week and have missed a couple of days of my diary – and wasn´t expecting to have time to do it today at all.  Two of my sons, my daughter-in-law and 2 grandkids were supposed to be here early this morning but the lightening Strike by the Spanish Air Traffic Controllers meant that their flight was cancelled.  They were offered seats on a flight to Faro in Portugal and had made arrangements to get over from there – but when they were about to board the plane that flight was cancelled as well!!  Now they have to travel from Cork to Dublin in the hopes of getting on a flight out in the morning.  Hope it´s 3rd time lucky for them….

Well, the weight is still going down, which I am thrilled about!  I´m definately going to try to have veggies today – can´t remember when I last had any!
