Attack Phase Day 7
Day 7 of the Attack Phase stats:
- Weight Today 107.2 kgs
- Weight Lost 0.6 kgs
- Total Weight Lost 2.4 kgs
What I ate yesterday:
- Breakfast – Oat Bran Porridge
- Snack – none
- Lunch – Chicken/Turkey burger, Dukan Custard
- Snack – 3 Crab Sitcks
- Dinner – Grilled Chicken Breast, 0% Fat Yoghurt
- Drinks – 2 ltrs water, 1 cup of tea, 1 cup of coffee.
- Exercise – 15 mins Crosstrainer
This will be my last Attack day and I am happy with the weight loss so far
I had planned to have a mid-morning snack as I only had porridge for breakfast but I just wasn´t hungry and didn´t start to think about food until 2pm. And I did some exercise…….I sometimes wish I was the sporty type who just loves to exercise!
We are going out to visit friends today (and to pick out a new puppy for me!) so I´m not sure how it will go. Maybe I´ll bring some sliced meat and crab sticks with me – they are understanding types so shouldn´t be a problem.
The Dukan Custard is just as good when it has been stored in the fridge and I will definately be making it again.
Attack Phase Day 6
Day 6 of the Attack Phase stats:
- Starting Weight 109.6 kgs
- Weight Today 107.8 kgs
- Weight Gain 0.2 kgs
- Total Weight Lost 1.8 kgs
What I ate yesterday:
- Breakfast – Oat Bran Pancake.
- Snack – none
- Lunch – Egg Wrap with Smoked Salmon and Fromage Frais, Custard
- Snack – 3 crab sticks
- Dinner – 2 slices Turkey Meat, Grilled Panga (fish), 0% fat yoghurt.
- Drinks – more than 2 ltrs water, 2 cups of tea, 2 cups coffee.
- Exercise – No proper exercise but went shopping again.
I ate very late last night and think that may have contributed to the small gain. Also didn´t have to go to the toilet my usual 3 times during the night so may also be some water retention.
I´m not very good at doing the exercise as you can see so from today I am going to make a real effort to either go far a long walk or go on the crosstrainer.
I am doing 7 days on Attack and have to say I am not really missing vegetables yet!
Attack Phase – Day 5
Day 5 of the Attack Phase stats:
- Starting Weight 109.6 kgs
- Weight Today 107.6 kgs
- Weight Lost 1.1 kgs
- Total Weight Lost 2.0 kgs
What I ate yesterday:
- Breakfast – Oat Bran Porridge
- Snack – none
- Lunch – 2 eggs scrambled, smoked salmon, 0% fat yoghurt.
- Snack – 3 crab sticks
- Dinner – Chicken/Turkey mince made into a burger, 0% fat yoghurt.
- Drinks – more than 2 ltrs water, 2 cups of tea.
- Exercise – No proper exercise but went shopping which is enough for me!
I got my Dukan Diet book in the post yesterday so have been reading up on what is allowed on this
diet. I realised that I could be eating more on the Attack phase, but I haven´t been hungry snce Monday
(carb-hangover day).
I´m going to make the custard from the recipe section of the book today as we have a glut of eggs
at the moment.
I am absolutely chuffed with the weight loss so far – I though that as I had already been on a
diet for months before starting the Dukan Diet that I wouldn´t lose so fast. But 2 kilos, or almost 4.5 lbs
is a great loss!
Attack Phase Day 2
Day 2 of the Attack Phase stats:
- Weight Today 109.2 kgs
- Weight Lost 0.4 kgs
What I ate yesterday:
- Breakfast – porridge made with Oat Bran, skimmed milk and a little sweetener.
- Snack – 4 slickes cooked ham (they are small round slices) so about 30g.
- Lunch – 2 eggs scrambled
- Snack – Non-fat soft cheese and smoked salmon.
- Dinner – Tuna Steak grilled.
- Drinks – over 2 ltrs water, 2 cups of tea.
- Exercise – 20 minute walk with the dog.
The day went fairly well but I was hungry, as you can tell by the snacking. I think this is the aftermath of my carb binge over the weekend! I drank a lot of water which is good for me – I used to hate the stuff but now I keep a large glass of water on the desk so I remember I am supposed to be drinking it.
The 20 minute walk should have been longer but our dog is not very well behaved – he gets all the exercise he needs running round the campo and doesn´t “do” being walked! At one stage he nearly pulled me head-first into the river – well I say river….it´s more of a stream.
So I´m very happy with my first day as a Dukaneer and hope the rest of the diet goes this well!
Starting Dukan Diet Today & Carb Hangover!
So I have decided to start the Dukan Diet today as I was sick as a dog last night after my carb binge weekend! Having been on Atkins since the end of July with only minor blips along the way, I now realise that carbs are BADDDDDDD!!!!! I felt so sick last night…….I won´t be doing that again in a hurry!
So Dukan starts now – I am going to try out the porridge for breakfast. I have to go shopping for low fat yoghurts and more meat, the chickens will provide all the eggs I need.
My starting weight this morning is 109.6 and my BMI is 39.3. I am planning on doing 7 days in Attack and hope to lose 3kg.
